Aiguille du Midi 2 - Chamonix France

The Aiguille du Midi 1&2 cable cars take you from the valley floor of Chamonix at 1035m (3396ft) to the breathtaking height of 3842m (12605ft) in about 20 minutes. The height gain occurs at such a rate that your ears are sure to pop as you ascend and decline. If you follow the cable up just under halfway to the top you can see the descending cable car which seems small here but in reality carries about 75 people at a time.
